The Illawarra Presbytery Service of Celebration 2018 will be held at the Wollongong Mission ‘The Church on the Mall’ on Saturday 17 February 2018. All congregations have been invited to attend. This should be a wonderful celebration of the life and witness of the Presbytery during 2017.
The Guest Speaker will be the new Moderator, Rev. Simon Hansford.
For our first newly minted – Looking Outward – Community Services for the year, we are thrilled to have the new Moderator of the NSW and ACT Synod, Rev. Simon Hansford, as our preacher.
We have asked Simon to talk about his vision for the larger Uniting Church and what Churches like ours can do to help realise that vision. This is one service you can’t afford to miss.
The new third Sunday format begins at 9.30 am with coffee followed by a more informal service.
Every Monday morning crafters and artists, some local and some who come from as far away as Sydney, converge on the Fellowship Hall and Lecture Hall for Art and Crafts.
The centre opens at 9.00 am and almost every well-known craft is on offer, knitting, crocheting, quilting, embroidery, candlewicking, card making, parchment papers. Our artists work with water based paints. And tuition is available free of charge for all.
The cost is $3 per person and this includes morning tea.
This is wonderfully warm welcoming group and the sounds of chatting and laughter fill the centres.
Why not come along one Monday to see what it’s all about.
Everyone is welcome, men and women. For more details contact Daphne Morris on 4232 1723.
We hold an annual Craft open Day in November.
This group meets on the third Tuesday of each month at the Speak and Easy Cafe, 45-51 Collins Street, Kiama (opposite the Masonic Hall) at 10.45 am.
This is for all men of our church and any other male friends you think might be interested in joining us. There is a different topic each month and everyone is invited to share a 3 minute talk on the topic. Lots of laughter and maybe even some wisdom to be shared.
So coming along and enjoy.
Everyone is very welcome to join us in the Christian meditation practice of silent prayer or sitting with God.
We share a short talk and a time of meditation and fellowship.
If you’ve never experienced the joy of this event, please join us in the Fellowship Centre for a wonderful time of hymns, harmony and sharing our love of the Lord. Stay afterwards and enjoy some fellowhsip and afternoon tea.
This is open to all lovers of traditional hymns who love to join together and sing praises to their Lord.
The afternoon begins at 2.00 pm and is concluded by afternoon tea and fellowship.
If you would like to join us and you have a request for a particular Hymn, worship song or chorus, please ring Gail on 4232 1630 or Reuben on 4233 2490

As Christians we believe in God who comforts, heals and empowers people today and we want to live out that promise by offering a regular time and place where people can come together to pray, meditate, sing, hear testimony and experience the power of God’s healing in their lives. You may come and go as you choose.
You may simply sit and absorb or participate as much as you wish. Our elders will be available for private prayer and anointing.
