The Kiama-Jamberoo Community Music Association is proud to announce a special intimate concert by the Tawadros brothers in the Jamberoo Chapel SoundSpace on November 17.
At 34, Joseph Tawadros is established as one of the world’s leading oud performers and composers. A virtuoso of diversity and sensitivity, Joseph performs in concert halls worldwide and is known for his brilliant technique, deep musicianship and joyous style of performance.
Born in Cairo, and a resident of Sydney since he was 3 years old, Joseph was nominated for Young Australian of the Year in 2014, received the NSW Premier’s medal for Arts and Culture in the same year and was awarded an Order of Australia Medal (AM) for his services to music and composition in 2016.
In this concert he will be joined by his brother James.
This group meets on the third Tuesday of each month at the Speak and Easy Cafe, 45-51 Collins Street, Kiama (opposite the Masonic Hall) at 10.45 am.
This is for all men of our church and any other male friends you think might be interested in joining us. There is a different topic each month and everyone is invited to share a 3 minute talk on the topic. Lots of laughter and maybe even some wisdom to be shared.
So coming along and enjoy.
If you’ve never experienced the joy of this event, please join us in the Fellowship Centre for a wonderful time of hymns, harmony and sharing our love of the Lord. Stay afterwards and enjoy some fellowhsip and afternoon tea.

The theme this year is “Christmas through Music and Art”. The presentation will involve a community choir presenting stories and music which will accompany pictures depicting works of art illustrating the Christmas story. There will be an opportunity for the audience to join in with some familiar favourite carols too. Wendy Leatheam has directed the presentation to popular acclaim in previous years and the community choir is thrilled to welcome her back this year. Piano accompaniment provided by the accomplished Steve Leatheam.
Our Annual Book Sale will be held on Friday January 25th and Saturday January 26th.
At this stage, we will only be selling books.
No Bric-a-Brac will be sold.
As we don’t have the use of the Lecture Hall for storage, please collect books from friends, etc, but please keep them until closer to the Book Sale.
Please see Val Mason and Kathy Reed for more details.
This event has been postponed until a little later in the year. More details will be forthcoming. Stay tuned.
