It’s now Official! Rev. Katherine Merrifield has been inducted in a joyous and uplifting service as the Minister of the Word for the Kiama Jamberoo Congregation of the Uniting Church of Australia. The special service conducted by the Chair of the Illawarra Presbytery, Rev Diane Anderson, before a congregation of over 100 members, was attended by members of her family, visitors from Presbytery churches, representative of other Christian churches in the Kiama area and community leaders including the Mayor of Kiama Municipal Council, Mark Honey and Councillors Reilly and Rice. Kath’s formal induction was greeted with enthusiastic applause during the service by all present.
